Hilary Duff’s daughter is back at school — and the actress has a new job to add to her résumé.
On Thursday, Aug. 29, the Lizzie McGuire alum, 36, shared a carousel of photos on her Instagram as her daughter Banks, 5, headed to her first day of kindergarten. In the sweet snaps, Banks can be seen wearing a pleated khaki skirt, white shirt and a navy sweater, and smiling as she sported a tan backpack and boots.
Other photos show Banks holding up a sign that reads “My First Day of Kindergarten,” which also listed her favorite color as light blue, her favorite food as the Goop Kitchen pizza and noted she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.
“My queen. My boss. My CEO. My top dog. My big cheese. My kindergartener. Let’s go baby girl!!!” Duff wrote in her caption.
“How does she know it’s my life’s work to chase her around with the hair brush all morning to make sure we don’t have a melt down [sic] about a hair out of place????” she joked.
Duff shares her baby daughter Townes, 3 months, Mae, 3, and Banks with husband Matthew Koma. She is also mom to son Luca, 12, whom she shares with ex Mike Comrie.
In July, Duff shut down rumors that the birth of her baby daughter Townes in May was unplanned. The mom of four appeared on the Informed Pregnancy Podcast, where host and prenatal chiropractor Dr. Elliot Berlin told her that when anyone announces they have four kids, “Everyone’s first question is ‘Was that an accident?’ ”
The actress laughed before answering, “No, we actually planned this baby.” She added, “I think I’m one of the most impulsive-thought-out people I know. Like, I do hash things out, but I haven’t really shared with anybody yet, so by the time I’m ready to get pregnant, I’m like basically pregnant.”
The mom of four then emphasized that having another baby was just as much her decision as Koma’s.
